Installation of passive infrared detectors

2010-01-13 17:59:46
Basic principles of installation of passive infrared detectors: + Sunlight direct or reflected from flat surfaces (eg, polished floor) should not fall directly on the optical passive infrared detectors. + Avoid assembly sites located directly above the heat sources (eg, heater, fire place), because rising heat may generate a false alarm. Distance from the detector heater should be at least 1.5 m. + Avoid assembly in rooms with windows or doors, because the large difference in temperature between the interior and surroundings may be a false alarm calls. + Objects that can gently move should be located at a distance of at least 3m from the detector. + None of the fringe characteristics should not be directly addressed to the place that can quickly change its temperature. + In the premises, which may include small rodents, the detector should be mounted at a height of at least 2.2 m + Area detector assembly must be stable (no vibration and the slow movement).
